RIVERTOWN FORD MECHANIC PASSES AWAY AFTER TRAUMATIC INJURIES SUSTAINED WHILE WORKING

A mechanic is deceased after an accidental incident occurred inside Rivertown Ford – located on Whittesley Boulevard – in Columbus.

Sources say the mechanic was working on a vehicle inside the business when the car accelerated and pinned him to the wall. The mechanic was pronounced deceased on scene.

Columbus Fire Station 8, Columbus patrol officers and motor squad, and Muscogee County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. An investigation is underway into the accidental death and once we have a name of the deceased, we will release.
