UPDATE BREAKING NEWS: Augusta Fire & Water Rescue along with Richmond County Sheriff Office is on a scene at 5th Street Marine in Augusta. Augusta Fire Department was called to 5th street Marine just before 8 for an object in the water. Details are Limited at this time. However the Coroner was called to the scene. #BreakingNewsBrown The Coroner’s Office is #1 5th Street. The body is that of a B/M and appears to have been in the water for several days. The body will be sent to the GBI Lab for an autopsy and positive identification.

Nino Stewart is #1 AGAIN. That is #1 in the state and in the nation on First in Math, a program where students solve math problems and earned 64,000 stickers. Stewart is a rising second grade student at C.T. Walker Magnet School and was in Mrs. Cave's 1st grade class. Stewart also received the recognition in kindergarten. C.T. Walker also has the Top 3rd grade class on First in Math in the state. Ms. Wiggins' class collected 13,000 stickers per student.

RIVERTOWN FORD MECHANIC PASSES AWAY AFTER TRAUMATIC INJURIES SUSTAINED WHILE WORKING
A mechanic is deceased after an accidental incident occurred inside Rivertown Ford – located on Whittesley Boulevard – in Columbus. Sources say the mechanic was working on a vehicle inside the business when the car accelerated and pinned him to the wall. The mechanic was pronounced deceased on scene. Columbus Fire Station 8, Columbus patrol officers and motor squad, and Muscogee County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. An investigation is underway into the accidental death and once we have a name of the deceased, we will release.

Columbus,Ga law enforcement official shot and killed a man
3/11/22 This scene is still very active where a Columbus law enforcement official shot and killed a man identified as 32-year-old Alonzo Carter outside of Club Flame on Armour Road. Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents are on the scene investigating what led up to this hectic scene. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirms Carter was pronounced deceased at 3:25 AM on scene. A female was also shot and taken to Piedmont Emergency Room. Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton is now on scene.
