FULL STORY: 3 shot, including 3-year-old girl, at 'Forrest Road Day' event at Carver Park in Columbus

Investigators are searching for clues after a 3-year-old girl and 2 others were shot at Carver Park during the Forrest Day Road event in Columbus.

Police and medics were alerted around 6:50-7:00PM to a gunshot victim at Courtland Avenue and two gunshot victims at Forrest Road and Floyd Road. A man was found shot on Courtland Avenue, while police were searching for two other victims that were supposedly near Forrest Road and Floyd Road. The other victims were later identified as a woman and the 3-year-old toddler. The other victims were driven by private vehicle to Piedmont Columbus Regional.

All the victims conditions are unknown. Multiple vehicles were shot up.

The shooting happened during an event which had a live and free performance by a rapper. The event was called ‘Forrest Road Day’. The event had a massive turnout with a large amount of citizens attending and cars lined up.

This shooting makes the 10th person shot in 10 days. The triple shooting occurred on the same day the burial of Cortez Richardson took place.

Authorities continue their investigation.
