Are you pursuing a career that you love?

A lot of times we pick careers or jobs just so we can survive. We know that if we don’t work we will not be able to provide for our families. My question is do you pursue these jobs/careers based off things you are good at, something you love to do, or is it based off of paying bills?  It’s a choice we all have to make.  How did you choose?

      • I definitely chose my career based on my passion for teaching. The pay was low, but it’s what I loved. Fast forward to 2021, the pandemic has really made me think about my passion even more. I still love it, but it is truly taking an emotional toll on me. My children are in high school , so I am on both sides of this new way of life. I must pay bills indeed, and all has been well because of my mindset. Literally, every time it gets rough financially, something great happens, and all is well!

        • Being a teacher is a very important job. You are the second parent to our children, a role model, someone to confide in, counselor, you are the answer. I appreciate teachers, and have grown to love them during the pandemic. You all make it look easy dealing with the many personalities, for that I salute you. You have influenced somebody to do better and want better.

        • Well, I’m embarrassed to admit that I honestly don’t work! When I was 15, my mom said, “ you can’t get by on your good looks forever!”
ive made it my life’s ambition to prove her wrong! “Challenge accepted!” And I am 51, and still doing it!!!!
