If you had to shop at a franchise or mom and pops store, which one would you choose. Please tell me what makes the store you chose better.

I would support small businesses. The problem is there aren’t many around. I remember as a child they were everywhere. I loved going to the store just to get the penny candy. They were the only ones that had hog head cheese. Memories!!!

Back home my dad had a small convenience store. So I know the value of a mom and pop store. And I would like to choose the mom and pop store first. Mom and Pop store is definitely my first choice. However, the mom and pop store got to stay up with modern times, with quality products that the people want, and have to be vested in the community. If they not doing these things and especially not being vested in the community, I might as well do the franchise - even though this would not be my preference.
